Recall 26E-017 Power Transfer Seat Base (PTSB)

RE: NHTSA Recall No. 26E-017

Dear Valued Ricon Customer:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.  Ricon Corp. has determined that its Power Transfer Seat Base (PTSB) produced between January 1, 2004 – May 31, 2024 does not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 207, Seating Systems.  The fore/aft motor of the Ricon PTSB may not allow the vehicle seat to remain in its adjusted position when force is applied, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

This recall impacts the following Ricon PTSB part numbers: R1209, R1209-E, R1209-L and R17740.  Ricon is currently developing a remedy for this issue and will send you a follow-up notice once it is available.
